A fine time for fowl
Julie Aquilino, a resident of Scripps Ranch since moving here from New York City seven years ago, captured these colorful birds on camera as they visited Lake Miramar before the stay-at-home orders for COVID-19. She has taken photos as a hobbyist for a little more than a year. Her boyfriend gave her a Nikon for Christmas one year. She began enjoying surf photography, then developed a love for taking photos at the zoo. Now she is enjoying flowers, looking for creativity in all that she sees. “Photography is now my passion, it fulfills the artistic desires I’ve always craved,” Aquilino said.
