Spectators enjoy Poway Parade
A large, enthusiastic crowd of spectators lined Poway Road the morning of Sept. 11 to view the 56th annual Poway Rotary Parade. Parade viewers were very appreciative, applauding as each of the parade’s entrants passed along the route. The mood remained festive in spite of the blazing sun. That same sun illuminated the array of colors of each parade participant which included everything from equestrians, veterans, fancy automobiles and marching bands to robots, pageant queens, local businesses, civic groups and honored dignitaries.
The Rotary Club of Poway-Scripps produced the parade along with help from major sponsor Palomar Health.
